Let's MAKE SURE Powerful Results Are Coming Your Way

Time to take a deep breath and give yourself some love. For real, give yourself a compliment for making it through this past week. For trying, for learning, for wanting to better yourself, and for succeeding(yes you did succeed because everything in this list is true).

Maybe you found some success with follow-through this week and maybe not. Maybe you forgot, got lazy, didn't want to, decided to put it off, or had something come up. Whatever happened is ok, because every day is a new day and a new opportunity for you to follow-through.

Your past NEVER dictates the decisions that you can make right now. You have complete control in this moment to start shifting how you live and what you create for yourself.

Make the decision that you want to create change in your life. Decide what that change will be. Create follow-through steps that are TOO EASY. Start to build trust in yourself.

That's it! That's where you begin.

If you can't get yourself to follow-through consistently, then your follow-through level is too high. For many of you, this week may be a week of adjusting your level of follow-through. Was reading 5 pages a night too much? Was spending 1 hour a day on your passion project unrealistic?

Shift it to one page a night or 20 minutes a day.

You may be thinking this sounds ridiculous. At that pace you'll finish a book in a year or hardly make any progress on your passion project. However, this is where you need to START. You start with what you know without a doubt you can achieve. You start with building trust in yourself. That's the only goal, not finishing a book or making progress on your project. The goal is building trust.

If there's a day you know you can't read or work on your project, pick up the book or open the laptop. Read a sentence or read a word. Spend 30 seconds on your project or look at something related to your project for 5 seconds.

This is not about quality and this is not about quantity. This is about consistency and action.

Build trust.

There is very little in the process of achieving powerful results that is more important than this. I didn't initially plan on going over this again in such detail, but I feel like it HAS to be said and it HAS to get through to you. YOU MUST understand this concept!

Ok, here's our equation:
Follow-Through = Trust In Yourself = Habits = Momentum = Powerful Results

The feedback loop of follow-through and trust in yourself eventually gets so strong and consistent that it becomes second nature. Your brain not only trusts your body, but it moves your body with little resistance. This is called a habit.

Habits are wonderful things that can be used to our advantage. It's a seed that has grown into a plant and can be harvested for your benefit. It's important to remember that if you don't weed, water, and tend to your plants they will quickly wither away and die. The same holds true to habits. They still need attention and care, but if kept alive they can bear incredible fruit.

The time it takes to form a habit is not an exact science. There are multiple factors at play when forming a habit, specifically how long it takes for your follow-through/trust in yourself loop to consistently take place.

Through research and my own experience if you stay true to the follow-through/trust in yourself loop as described above, habits can absolutely be formed in 2 months or less.

Once a habit is formed and executed over time it begins to build momentum. Momentum is a large and extremely important topic that I think deserves it's own Newsletter. It also ties into the other most important book for my personal growth journey. So next week is gonna be fun!

It's important that we go through these topics and steps in a slow, detailed, and deep way. These are the essential building blocks for powerful results in your life.

Start fresh today and begin creating the life you want!
