The Power of Follow-Through

12/4/2018

Here's a long equation:

Follow-Through = Trust In Yourself = Habits = Momentum = Powerful Results

How do we achieve Powerful Results with what we want? How do we create significant change in our lives?

Well, how often do you follow-through on the things you say you're gonna do? Usually we don't even realize how often we tell ourselves to do something but we don't follow-through with it.

We were supposed to get up early to workout but we just slept in.

We were supposed to eat healthy but it wasn't convenient so we didn't.

We were going to set aside time each day to work on a passion project but kept making an excuse why today isn't a good day.

Most of us are really bad at follow-through! So how do we change that? The first step is to create something that we KNOW we will follow-though on. When we set the bar too high we aren't able to follow-through on a regular basis. So make something SO EASY for yourself you can't NOT follow through. Make it ridiculously easy at first, but make sure you follow-through. Learn to trust yourself!

When you cheat you break trust. And in relationships, trust is one of the most important things there is.

How is your relationship with yourself? How much do you trust yourself? When your brain learns to trust your body it will LEARN to follow-though, it will WANT to follow-though. Make life easier and train your brain to trust you.

So...
Follow-Through = Trust In Yourself = Habits = Momentum = Powerful Results

We'll touch on Habits and Momentum next week. But for this week I want you to focus on creating ONE THING that you WILL follow-through on consistently with 100% certainty. Literally make it too easy for yourself. It doesn't have to be something significant, and you don't have to do it well. Just build that trust between the body and brain. Begin to create a trusting relationship with yourself.
